you know what it is. i get it from time to time. how do you handle it?

some folks just delete it, i bet some get pissed off over it as well.

so, how do you handle PM spam?

I usually read it, check the member's profile (and see if he's banned), see what else he's recently been up to, see if I've posted in any of his threads, REread the PM and see if I'm interested, if not, I delete it.

Some n00b just tried to shaft me by forwarding some 'PM spam', purportedly from me, to some of the moderators. Luckily for me the moderators concerned were alert enough to spot something was amiss and ended up banning my accuser rather than punishing me for something I hadn't done.

Could be the start of an interesting new tactic over there - fabricate PM spam to get your opponents into trouble.

what will they stoop too next? thats pretty lame fabricating a message to get someone in trouble. that happened to me at another forum i'm active at. i got to see this "fake" message and i complained a little too loudly, caught a 6 month ban over it.

o well, some people are just scumbags, it their nature.

Aye, the dumb bastard made the mistake of forwarding it to some of my favorite lady mods. They were on a bit of a loser with that decision!
