Why Did I Get An Infraction?
How many times have i seen a thread at DP with that title? Many many threads are started by people asking that very same question. I think the biggest problem is no one takes the time to read the rules and stickies, so they do something wrong, get an infraction and whine about it.
The most violated rule at Digital Point is making useless posts, its gotta be, there all over the place. Someone will start a thread, post all the needed information for prospective buyers and the idiocy begins. “PM me the info please”, “I have sent you a PM”, “PM me your PayPal info” and other equally stupid remarks.
Sometimes the OP (original poster) is too blame. They will start a sales thread with the instructions to “post here for more info”, which is also against the rules. If you have a question that hasn’t been addressed in the first post and will benefit all, by all means ask it, if not, play it safe and PM the OP with your questions, they have to accept PM’s, its the rule.
My last entry involved Sticky Threads. In addition to the FAQ/Rules, they contain everything you’ll need to know in order to dodge those pesky infractions. All you need are 10 to catch a ban.

I think people get infractions because of the dates they join.
Like the solar system and magic of numbers taking over.
Its a force too strong to be reckoned with. Hence the reason it has spread into dp.
THAT is the reason why people get infractions. and that is the ONLY reason in my eyes.
PS. obviously people need to read the rules and stop thinking they can outsmart the mods. But the power of numbers is at play soemwhere.
July 15th, 2008 at 10:56 amI got two infractions today for nothing at all. I commented on someone who was selling 3gigs of ebooks or something for about £15/$10 and then bumped his posts moaning that no one is buying such a great deal.
I commented stating that on ebay you can get that same deal for next to nothing and thats why no one was buying!
